What is Functional Medicine?
Functional medicine is an approach that focuses on optimal function of the body by promoting efficiency in each organ of the body. Using a personalized approach to understand each patient’s unique needs, this method relies on science-based research and testing to understand the root cause or WHY of each diagnosis.
What is Internal Medicine?
Internal medicine physicians specialize in the treatment of adults within general medicine and have training in subspecialties such as endocrinology, cardiology, infectious diseases among others. Internal Medicine doctors complete an intense three-year residency including inpatient and outpatient. They are patient advocates, helping patients navigate the complex world of medicine in accordance with a patient’s goals and values.
What is Anti-Aging Medicine?
Anti-aging medicine is an evolving branch of medical science that treats the underlying causes of aging and aims at alleviating any age-related ailments. Its goal is to extend the healthy lifespan of humans having youthful characteristics. It is a holistic discipline, seeing the patient as a whole and not as someone having an isolated disease.

About Dr. Nupoor
Why are so many adults afflicted by chronic diseases while others are not? Can we reverse disease? How do we prevent aging? – These questions catalyzed Dr. Nupoor’s drive to address the whole person utilizing various best-in-class disciplines.
Dr. Nupoor Panchal is an American Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician with more than a decade of experience. Her background includes Functional and Anti-Aging Medicine. Her interest in preventing aging began as she was applying to university and evaluating ways to integrate her love of art with medicine. At that time, she thought of it from an aesthetic point of view, utilizing her talent in drawing for facial rejuvenation. As she continued through medicine, she started to realize the need for a whole-body rejuvenation from a disease perspective.
Dr. Nupoor attended medical school at the University of Illinois in Chicago, part of the Illinois medical district triangle, one of the busiest medical districts in the country. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine through Weill Cornell Medical College at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Queens. The intensity of her training prepared her to think on her feet, appreciate the way different cultures deal with illness, and identify what is wrong with today’s healthcare systems.
The pace fueled her interest in critical care and hospital medicine, which she continued at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD) as their first female hospitalist and as a clinical assistant professor of medicine, teaching residents and medical students. At CCAD, she was privileged to treat senior UAE nationals, heads of state and dignitaries. The trust they put in her as a physician was humbling and rewarding, but it also illustrated how despite wealth, privilege, and even a government-provided healthcare system, patient’s bodies were “aging” too quickly. Dr. Nupoor’s own struggle with fertility, despite a healthy and active lifestyle, encouraged her to find alternative ways of looking at “health.” Hence she embarked on more formal training with the Institute of Functional Medicine and the American Academy of Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine.
Between college and medical school, Dr. Nupoor attended the Art Institute of Chicago to advance her art skills. After moving to Dubai she completed a Romana’s Pilates Teacher Training program in classical Pilates. This training cemented how movement along with breath helps heal and strengthen all types of bodies from the inside out. She plays tennis competitively and loves to ski. Her recipe for a good day includes spending time outdoors, laughing with friends, and learning more about the potential of the human body.
